Large early 20th century rocking horse by F H Ayres. Fully restored it can take a large child or small adult rider.
Frederick Henry Ayres, was based in Aldgate, London and was regarded as one of the finest rocking horse makers of the late 19th early 20th century. Because of their quality his horses were sold in Harrods and Selfridges. They are regarded as some of the best rocking horses available, and were an essential fixture in the nurseries of many English country horses.
