A large early 19th century painted pine huffer or plate warming cabinet. In the original cream paint with brass handles and sliding doors. These iron bound plate warming cabinets were designed with an open back to be placed against the large kitchen ranges to warm plates. This example has been later fitted with a stainless steel back.
